Puerto Montt

We've just landed in Puerto Montt where we have a half hour stopover on the way to Punta Arenas. It can't be that small a place but it looks desolate (green, but desolate) from the air. We seemed to be messing around no end coming in to land and it was a bit bumpy. The sky is solid grey here although it was a clear day in Santiago, as it has been every day. I am wondering what it's going to be like in Punta Arenas.

I'm sure Puerto Montt is lovely really, although I will never find out as I'm not leaving the plane. Loads of people are getting off here anyway.
