Went down the hostel bar earlier. Met Kev, who reckons we got hone at 6am last night, which I find hard to beieve. I made a conversational sally with the guy next to me at the bar and we spoke for the next two hours.
Was for the first time taken by surprise when the hostel bar shut at 1am, I had no idea it was that late. No one I knew was going out but I loitered outside and met a couple of Australians who were going down to Club Blue.
As we got in the cab some woman joined us, obviously their friend, and suddenly they were desperate to score some coke, even asking the cab driver. We got to the club and I lost them somehow, perhaps for the best. Felt a bit of a sad loser not knowing anyone but I had a bit of a dance and I am still here at 4:50am. Sort of met a few people and it's fairly cool, tho right now I feel a bit zonked and the music is not my cup of tea. It's a bit R&B for want of a better description. About 2am there was a brief burst of The Stones, Green Day and the like which was quite cool. May fuck off shortly but vaguely hope there will be another bit of decent music.
I am coming to the conclusion my time in La Paz will be about beer and going out and associated stuff. I can see myself not bothering with that day tour to Titiwaka or whatever the fuck. I am doing Lake Titicaca and I am having too much fun, more or less, to bother with that day trip. Even right now while I feel a little pissed and the music sucks slightly (tho as I write this it's on the up) it's still quite fun and I feel I should make hay while the sun shines. Also curious just how late it will go on here and hence kind of keen to stick it out on those grounds.
