The age of miracles is not over

The ho(s)tel in Santa Fe got back to me by the time I got back to the flat. I am booked in for two nights. Sorted, respect due. I think this is the first time a web-based not-live-online-booking reservation form has worked and got me a prompt response.

I won't go quite so far as to say this is the kind of thing that proves once and for all the existence of a benevolent providence, but I am tempted.

They aren't exactly cheap, but then a) they are mentioned in my Shoestring guide, so I can hardly be accused of going super flash - and I am not paying extra for a premium room and b) the one hostel on hostelworld.com is damn near as expensive, so it's clearly just that kind of town.
